Bryce Ross started dancing in 2015 after 10 years of gymnastics training and competing in Canada and USA. He transitioned into dance training with On Tap Dance Studio and went full throttle doing what he always wanted to do: DANCE!
This move was natural and easy for him as he was able to take his strength and skills from the gym to the dance floor and have a great time performing on stage. His background in dance includes ballet, tap, contemporary/modern, theatre, ACRO, and hip-hop. He continues to train with other dancers and companies and choreograph. Expression of his true self through movement, acting in character and entertaining audiences drives this passion. As a post-secondary dance student and teacher with On Tap Dance Studio in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Bryce is focusing on professional ballet, contemporary and tap dance. He teaches younger students hip-hop and hopes to build a larger class to teach other genres and help them succeed further with their talents. What his hopes are for his student dancers is to mentor and see them succeed and to make sure that they know that the world is their oyster; they too can grab onto every opportunity and strive for their dreams. It is most important to Bryce that these skills and talent should be combined with the joy of living healthy, being physically strong, and mentally and emotionally positive. Bryce seeks the stage and performance in film. While he reaches that dream, he will pass along what he learns to his students. He loves to choreograph, command the stage, play supporting roles and entertain his audiences with his acting and dancing. Ultimately, he plans on being the next triple threat with his screen arts diploma working in front of and behind the camera, on stage and in film!
